Writing is my way of expression. The power of words is really unfathomable. Be it UX writing, microcopy, content design, or blog posts, I love doing all of it.

I write about UX on Medium.
Below are excerpts from my articles- read, follow, comment, and let’s start a discussion.

UX writing/Content Design — with a marketing advantage

A marketing background is a great asset for UX writing.

UX Writer ….Content Designer….are they the same?

Some say they are, some say they aren’t.

Yuval Keshtcher of the UX Writing Hub shared a fun quiz on LinkedIn today.

I recently had an excellent opportunity to interview for a “Content designer” role at a prestigious design agency. I made it to the last round, with several interviews and two grueling tests. I felt pretty proud of myself.
I didn't get the job, but the experience was valuable. I got motivating positive feedback on my work and many valuable insights. Some might feel bad for me, but this has propelled me harder and motivated me… to truly pursue and develop my skills…..

UX — Creating my first case study & battling impostor syndrome

Getting that portfolio up, one iteration at a time.
Jul 1, 2022.

I haven’t written on here in a while, not because I didn't want to or didn't have anything to say. I always have a lot to say.

This break happened because I was finishing up the first of my three projects in the Google UX/UI Certificate course.

This module was the final one for project one and it demanded an online published portfolio along with the standard slide deck Google makes us complete with the course. I was all set with Squarespace right from March, when I started this course and excited to finally start building my portfolio.

About time, I thought…

User Interview —
This is a UX research method during which the researcher asks a single user a set of questions about a specific topic, describing and learning the user’s use, habits and behaviors with i
t.

I am currently undergoing the Google UX/UI certificate course and this was one of the first tasks in the Empathize phase.
After we selected our case study prompts and learned about the various types of research, we were directed to start conducting our own primary qualitative research aka — User Interviews…

The key frameworks in UX design

Trying to understand and easily remember their differences and similarities
Mar 22, 2022.

I just started my Google UX Design Certification.
Yes, I am one of those…the newbie, the lady trying to break into tech, a woman trying to overcome her career break, or whatever you might call it.

It has been interesting so far, I also completed the ‘Become a user experience designer’ learning path on LinkedIn Learning before starting this course. This gave me a slight upper hand as I was more familiar with the terms and processes.

UX is beautiful, it interests and intrigues me…delights me. Empathy, Iteration, A11y ( Accessibility), and more, there are plenty of new terms to learn here….

Daily UX Writing Challenge- day 15

Bonus challenge number 1 — Facebook Pages Onboarding.
May 29, 2022

I have been doing the Daily UX Writing Challenge, posting them daily on LinkedIn.
(You can view the first 14 on my LinkedIn feed, I probably will consolidate them into a medium post someday, but for now, as a new learner, they felt best posted there. People commented, advised and I learned better.)

I was bummed that there was only one challenge left, but they did not disappoint. The last challenge came with three instead of one. This is only the first one I have completed. (Definitely will attempt the other two as well.)

Here’s the challenge —

Challenge 1: Using the browser on your mobile device, please go to Facebook and log in. Tap the menu icon and then tap Create New Page in the Pages section.

Feel free to drop me a line, comment, or follow me on Medium or connect on LinkedIn. I am always open to discussions on design, writing, and more.
